Window Graphics 101: From Perforated Vinyl to High-Impact Decals
Your storefront windows are probably the most underutilized advertising space you're paying for. Every person walking past, every car stuck at the light, every potential customer glancing at your building: that's free real estate you can turn into working signage. Window graphics let you do exactly that without drilling holes, hiring a contractor, or committing to anything permanent.
We print all types of window graphics in-house here in Las Vegas, from perforated vinyl that lets your staff see out while customers see your message, to cut vinyl lettering that turns plain glass into professional branding. The material you choose depends on what problem you're trying to solve: visibility, privacy, sunlight control, or just getting more eyes on your business.

Perforated Vinyl: The One-Way Vision Solution
Perforated vinyl is the workhorse of storefront window graphics, especially in Las Vegas where you need sun control and visibility at the same time. The material is covered with tiny micro-perforations (think thousands of evenly spaced holes) that create a one-way vision effect: people outside see a full-color graphic, but people inside see through the holes to the outside world.
The most common spec is 60/40, meaning 60% solid vinyl and 40% perforation. From the street, it looks like a solid, vibrant graphic. From inside your shop, you get a slightly tinted but totally workable view of foot traffic, parking, or whatever's happening outside. It's not like looking through a screen door: it's more like wearing light sunglasses.
This material solves two problems at once. First, it blocks direct sunlight and cuts glare, which keeps your space cooler and makes it easier for customers to see product displays instead of squinting. Second, it turns dead glass into advertising space without sacrificing the ability to monitor what's happening outside. You still get natural light, you still get visibility, but now your windows are doing marketing work too.
We typically print 60/40 perforated vinyl for retail storefronts, restaurant windows, and office buildings where privacy isn't the goal but sunlight control and branding are. If you need more visibility from inside, we can go 70/30 (more holes, less solid vinyl). If you want a bolder graphic with less see-through, 50/50 works too. It's all about balancing what you need to see versus what you want people outside to see.

Solid Vinyl Decals: Full Coverage, Zero Transparency
If you don't need to see through the window, solid vinyl gives you the most vibrant colors and the cleanest graphics. This is the material we use for logos, hours of operation, promotional callouts, or any design where transparency isn't required.
Solid vinyl decals come in two main types: printed full-color graphics and cut vinyl. Printed decals work for complex designs, photographic images, or anything with gradients and multiple colors. We print them on adhesive-backed vinyl using UV-cured inks, which means fade resistance even under direct Las Vegas sun. Cut vinyl is for simpler designs: logos, lettering, shapes, or icons. The vinyl comes in solid colors, and we use a plotter to cut the exact shape you need. No background, no rectangle: just the graphic itself adhering directly to the glass.
Cut vinyl lettering is one of the most cost-effective ways to add professional branding to your storefront. Business name, tagline, hours, social handles: whatever you need, we cut it to size and weed out the excess material. Installation is straightforward (we can handle it, or you can apply it yourself with basic instructions), and the result looks sharp and clean.
Solid vinyl decals work on interior or exterior glass. For exterior application, we use weather-resistant adhesive that stands up to sun, rain, and the occasional windstorm. For interior application, the adhesive is gentler, which makes removal easier down the line if you're doing a seasonal promo or temporary branding.

Frosted and Etched Vinyl: Privacy Without Losing Light
If your goal is privacy but you still want natural light, frosted vinyl (also called etched glass vinyl) gives you the look of sandblasted or acid-etched glass without the cost or permanence. The material mimics the translucent, textured look of professionally etched glass, blocking clear visibility while letting light pass through.
This is common in office settings: conference rooms, private offices, or reception areas where you want to separate spaces without creating a cave. It's also popular in retail for fitting rooms, restrooms, or backroom areas where you need privacy but don't want to block light entirely.
Frosted vinyl can be applied as full-window coverage or as decorative stripes, patterns, or custom shapes. We've done everything from simple horizontal bands to custom logo cutouts where the frosted vinyl creates the design and the clear glass shows through in specific areas. It's a flexible material that solves privacy issues while adding a design element to plain glass.
Installation is the same as solid vinyl decals: adhesive-backed film applied directly to clean glass. Removal is non-destructive, so if you're leasing and need to take it down when you move, the glass goes back to normal without damage.
Cut Vinyl Lettering: The Budget-Friendly Branding Move
If you're opening a new location, rebranding, or just tired of a blank storefront, cut vinyl lettering is the fastest and most affordable way to get your name on the glass. We cut individual letters from solid-color vinyl and apply them directly to your windows in whatever font, size, and layout you need.
The advantage of cut vinyl is precision. Fonts stay sharp, edges stay clean, and colors stay consistent. Unlike printed decals where the graphic sits on a rectangular background, cut vinyl is just the letters: no visible border, no substrate, nothing to peel or fade around the edges.
We handle everything from business names and hours to promotional messages and social media handles. If you're running a limited-time sale or event, cut vinyl can go up fast and come down clean without leaving residue. For permanent branding, the material lasts years with minimal maintenance.

Installation: DIY or Let Us Handle It
Window graphics are easier to install than most people think, but there's a difference between "it'll stick" and "it looks professional." Small decals and cut vinyl lettering are usually DIY-friendly. We'll provide transfer tape, application instructions, and a squeegee if needed. Clean the glass, wet it with a light soapy water solution, position the graphic, squeegee out the bubbles, and you're done.
Larger graphics, especially full-window perforated vinyl or multi-panel installs, are worth having a pro handle. Bubbles, misalignment, and creases are harder to fix once the adhesive makes contact, and on a big install, you only get one shot. We work with trusted local installers who do this daily, and they'll get it right the first time.
If you're placing an order and you're not sure about installation, let us know during the quote process. We can coordinate the install as part of the project, or we can walk you through DIY application if the size and complexity make sense for it.
Making Your Windows Work Harder
Window graphics aren't just about looking good: they're about using space that's otherwise sitting idle. Every square foot of glass is a chance to grab attention, communicate your brand, or solve a functional problem like glare or privacy. Whether you're going full-window perforated vinyl or simple cut vinyl lettering, the goal is the same: make the glass work for you instead of just being a transparent barrier.
If your storefront windows are blank, or if your current signage is faded and peeling, it's time to rethink what that space could be doing. We print everything in-house here in Las Vegas, and we can turn around most window graphic orders in a few days. Let's put your windows to work.
